Mission

The mission of Way Back Home is to increase public awareness of prescription opioid addiction and encourage treatment free from stigma.

We see several important avenues for achieving this:

• providing information and support to people struggling with prescription opioid addiction, including people with chronic pain who are seeking alternatives
• providing resources for medical providers so that they can provide safe, evidence-based pain treatment and more easily educate patients about pain and opioids
• creating a venue in which people can discuss prescription opioid addiction, so as to decrease stigma surrounding this problem and encourage people to get whatever help they need without shame
